Our artist spotlight for this week is the talented Astrid Galitzine. Her song “be here for you” is the featured song of the week, and was inspired by Astrid getting hurt by the actions of her friends. “I find myself in a cycle where I am hurt by those I love, and no matter how many times I experience this realization, I also know I’ll always go back to them,” she stated. 3 words she would use to describe “be here for you” are “Poignant, Ethereal, Authentic.” The song was written, recorded and produced by Astrid herself, at her home in Sayulita, Mexico. The track encapsulates her wonderful voice with the help of a simple guitar. Astrid is very talented, well rounded and looks to make music that connects people all across the world.
