The tenth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards were held Monday night (March 27th) at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. Hosted by Lenny Kravitz, the iHeartRadio Music awards serve to recognize and celebrate music and artists heard throughout the year, in categories that are based on both cumulative performance data and public vote. The ceremony featured a variety of musical performances from both established and rising stars, including P!nk, Coldplay, Kelly Clarkson, Latto, Muni Long, and host Lenny Kravitz, among others.
The two biggest awards of the night, the “Icon Award” and the “Innovator Award,” were granted to P!nk and Taylor Swift, respectively. P!nk was honored with a tribute medley of her most famous hits, including “Just Like A Pill,” “What About Us,” and “Who Knew,” among others, performed by P!nk herself, Kelly Clarkson, Neil Giraldo, and Pat Benetar. Taylor Swift, on the other hand, was the most awarded artist of the night, with six wins in total. She also tied with Harry Styles as the most nominated artists of the night, with eight nominations each. Drake, Dua Lipa, and Jack Harlow tied for the second most nominated artists of the night, with six nominations each, and Beyoncé and Doja Cat tied for the third most nominated artists of the night, with five nominations each. Aside from the “Innovator Award,” Taylor Swift was also the recipient of the “Song of the Year,” “Best Lyrics,” “TikTok Bop of the Year,” “Favorite Use of a Sample,” and “Best Pop Album” awards.
